This foundation wall pushed into the resident’s house several inches, buckling the carpet and breaking drywall in the attached room, and creating an unsafe environment in the house. The basement was supported by adding a temporary interior wall and posts to support the load while we excavated and removed the failed wall, and then rebuilt it with extra reinforcements throughout the whole wall, parged and tarred for water sealing to ensure this will not happen again.
